Most costume rentals run between $25.00 to $65.00 for up to a 5 day rental, 3 day rental during the Halloween season of mid September through November 5th. Please see individual costume images and descriptions for examples of our rental prices.
In addition to a rental fee, Decades also charges a deposit of anywhere between twice the rental price up to several hundred dollars. So long as the costume is returned this deposit is free. We simply hold onto a check or credit card number and do not debit your account. However, please keep in mind that no costume leaves the store without a deposit.
Full costume rentals include all normal accessories needed to complete your look.

Costumes may be reserved in person or by phone. In order to reserve a costume you will be required to pay the rental fee and deposit at time of reservation. Costumes that have not been paid for in advance will not be held.
Measurements for items reserved by phone must be exact. No guess work, and no refunds for items reserved by phone that do not fit. We highly encourage you to come into the store personally, and try the costume on to ensure perfect fit.
This is the contract that all renters are required to agree to and sign at time of rental:
This is a contract of rental only, and not of sale. The undersigned renter agrees that he has rented the item(s) herein described upon the express condition that it will at all times remain the property of the rental agent named above: that he has examined said item, found it to be in good condition, and will return it in as good a condition as when he recieved it, ordinary wear and tear excepted; that he will return at once to the rental agent any item that is not functioning normally; that he will pay promptly when due all charges that accrue because of this rental, including damages to said item.Items returned late, from one to six days after the due date will be charged a $25.00 late fee. For any item(s) not returned by the seventh day following the due date, the full amount of the deposit, or any portion thereof, will be automatically deposited. Non sufficient funds and other fraudulent deposits will be reported to the district attorney and/or Police Department. The rental agent is herby released from all claims arriving there from. All charges are based on the time the item(s) are in the renter's posesssion, whether in use or not. The rental agent is not responsible for accidents or injuries caused directly or indirectly in the use of the rented item(s).
Decades does not offer refunds on items reserved over the phone, or in person when the person who will be wearing the costume is not here to be fitted, or for any other reason. When possible we will attempt to exchange the costume for a better fit, but this will not always be possible.
We do not offer refunds, nor exchanges after the costume has left the store for any reason.
*while Decades is primarily a costume rental store, we will sell our costumes. Please bear in mind that many of our "costumes" are actually vintage and other valuable pieces, and our selling price will reflect this.
